I like fishes. My family have been keeping two golden fish pets for over 10 years.
My sons named them Fin and Goldie.
By the way, do you know how to clean the fish tank more efficiently? Are you aware of some water-grown plants that are suitable for a 20-gallon fish tank?
I like fishes as food too.
Sometimes when I think about it, it is a paradox which only happens to human being. If the two fishes could have the idea, would they be scared to death?
I definitely won't eat my fish pets. In fact, I am wondering: how a person's food preference is developed?
I grew up at an inland city, where fish is scarce and expensive in the food market. So eating habit is not a factor. Maybe because I have been educated that fish is good for health. Another possible factor I can think of is the desire to compensate for that shortage.
Why are some persons pickier than others? Many people limit their diet due to religious and cultural influences. There are cases that some persons don't like some types of food naturally because of certain smell, tastes or structures. How much can these preferences be reasoned by neural physiology theories?
Sometimes when I see dead animals on the road, I wonder if there is a way to repel these animals away from the roads or yards, for example, is it feasible to set up road barriers and fences emitting certain strong smells or flashing light at certain frequences?
